Alberta is an energy juggernaut and will continue along this path for years to come on several different but critical tracks — including renewable power and oil and gas. The Canadian Renewable Energy Association recently reported the country saw 1.8 gigawatts of new solar and wind generation capacity added in 2022, with more than 75 per cent of it landing in Alberta.
