Description of role:
Project manager responsible for managing all phases of project from Contract phase to Project close out. Typical project phases being managed would include: contract finalization, design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, inspections and project closeout. KCP Energy’s role is typically the Solar EPC including Solar GC responsibilities.
- delivering all phases of project on time, on budget with quality while creating a positive customer experience.
- managing multiple projects at one time and reporting progress, issues and approach to resolution to management.
- responsible for creating project estimates and a project execution plan, managing overall project schedule, risk management and mitigation strategies, invoicing and project budget, contract management, coordination of design teams, project install teams and sub contractors.
Typical project description:
Project budgets will range from $200k to $2million and go from start to completion in six months or less. Scope of design functions and sub contractors on a typical project would include electrical, structural, geotech, ground works, steel erection, surveying and internals electrical and installation teams.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing successful projects, experience managing commercial construction projects that include multiple trades but weighted to the electrical field. A history of developing strong customer relationships while successfully implementing projects.
A minimum 5 years experience in a similar role. This role would typically be considered a first level management position. Engineering degree or PMP certification an asset.
